One of Two Victorian period library chairs, c1865. Open arms, walnut frames, each with arched back containing central concave cup holding a carved wheel form with rosette and button finial. Each crown has scrolling ears with ring and spindle turned drops in a modified floral form. Partially upholstered shaped arms with turret turned terminals and ring and scroll supports. Skirts with minor scallop drop front. Turned and tapered front legs, slightly splayed back legs, steel and ceramic casters. Upholstered in red and pale gold damask with button-tufted backs.
